Been a while, a looong while, since ole' Primo's posted to this here blog thingamajigger, but the men in black have made their demands so here I am punchin' away. They said Primo, you post a blog or the contract's up, premium lager and all, so here I am thinking of something to say as I write, a dangerous slope to be sliding no doubt ...
Baseball baseball baseball ... it's all we ever talk about! Isn't there something else, something more important, some greater purpose we can direct our collective powers towards? Personally, I say NO WAY! That's the point of all this, to get out a few times a week and forget about the earthquakes, the tornadoes, the Bin Laden hit (amazing), and just play ball. Leave work at the office, news on the radio and just forget about it. Forget everything except the four bags in front of you, that green grass stretching into the distance and the promise of another season unfolding before your very eyes.
What a time.
My Frugal Play Bill was a rousing success, but that was then and now it's time to SPEND! Business is back and you can now rid yourself of those hard-earned bucks through our very own, fancy-pants online baseball shop right here. Credit to the men in black for making this happen; a great idea and some great deals to boot, so get on there and grab some fresh gear for the 2011 campaign. My only suggestion is to get some more gear up there ... Primo needs options.
Speaking of options, when it came to rookies this season we had far too many! Spoiled for choice and faced with limited roster spots, we took the creme de la creme, the ones we felt would bring the best combination of talent and character to the league, and it looks like we have a solid crop of new blood. All I have to say is if I hit you with a pitch, I (probably) didn't mean it, so no hard feelings ... we could be playing together next year, so forget about it!
