Cooper gets Dicked, A's beat Dodgers

       The love fest continued on Sunday as the Athletics pulled out another win. "Everyone's our enemy", an Athletics player told me after the game, "and everyone should hate us". Levy led the way again with 6 strong innings for the win, while Mike Cooper chipped in with a 3 for 4 day and 4 runs scored. Allison mopped up the last two innings allowing two runs, but enjoyed his first half catching for Levy more. The game was less than boring with many close calls, and even an almost fight, as Cooper and Dickie got into a war of words over sliding techniques. In the end when the dust settled the Athletics had a 16 - 8 win and the Dodgers had a second straight loss. The sad twang of country filled the air for hours afterward as the Dodgers mourned their loss, "I can't stand it anymore" an unnamed Dodger cried, " just kill me now ".
