My $0.02 - AGM

After the AGM on Sunday, I was thinking how smoothly it ran from previous years. I would like to thank the outgoing executive for their work this past year as well as welcome in the new exec.

I'd just like to make sure that although the league has a long history and tradition behind it, I think its important to keep moving forward. Many of the issues raised at the AGM simply ended in "the executive will look into it" Although I understand why every issue isn't debated untill we are blue in the face at the AGM, I think some transparency into the executives descision making is a good idea.

I think the exectutive should post on the website, web polls for various issues (wood bats, league helmets, age limits, etc) and let the league vote just to give the executive some direction about what people want in an accountable, organzied fashion.

On a side note, thank you to Chris and Ryan for accomodating some of the Jewish holidays in the playoffs. I appreciate how you handled a tough situation and look forward to kicking both your asses in the playoffs if given the chance :-)

Due to the lack of time available to conduct this years AGM - there was not enough time to explore &/or discuss the tabled issues at length vs. AGM's of the previous years.  Admittedly, the motions need to be discussed further if they are going to be implemented at all for the sake of growing this RHMRBL thing of ours progressivley for future members/generations.

I like the idea of a web based poll for "issue" transparency, but more so for the valued members of this league to voice thier honest opinions with the click of a button vs. ranting at a meeting once a year - just my thoughts.  But on the otherhand - how many active players actually use, participate or at bare least check out the site on a regular basis???

I think the web poll idea was discussed at some point as an added feature of the website among other brilliant nuggets of "creative content"  I have a list of MANY - but alas - that's Moncayo's domain.   If this site is going to develope into an essential forum/domain for league members, we need to see more active participants - otherwise it's just waste of Moncayo's time. (get a clue y'all)

In the meantime  - chag sameach to the ever growing Jewish coningent of this league.
