League Legend - Jim Anderson

, Wednesday June 13, 2018

This summer we are featuring posts dedicated to the history and tapestry of the RHMRBL. Our “League Legends”, “Today’s Stars”, and “The Future”, will highlight members that have played or are playing the game we all love.

For our first League Legend, we look back to one of our founding members, Jim Anderson. Jim grew up playing baseball as a child. He played Rep ball from age 10 to age 18, winning an Ontario Bronze Medal in 1979. Not only is Jim is one of our league’s founding members, he also served on the league executive from 1988 to 1999 (twice as league president).

Were records available from the leagues 30+ year history, Jim would undoubtedly be an all-time leader in many of the charted categories. However, our league statistics page only goes back to 1999.

Jim was inducted into the prestigious RHMRBL Hall Of Fame in 1992, and his son Jimmy Jr. carries on his dad’s legacy as todays league Vice President.

It’s impossible to truly thank Jim for all his contributions over the years-we honor his commitment and legacy as the first RHMRBL League Legend!
