27 years ago a man named Richard Rendek entered The RHMRBL. The league hasn’t been the same since! He’s won 8 titles, 2 Svenner awards, and is one of the main reasons the league has survived this long.
“Dickie’s” philanthropic persona has benefited us all. This summer, the ROML Ontario baseballs were purchased by The Dick. He sits on the executive, advises our league, sponsors annually for 2 decades, and is the absolute life of the party.
His baseball skills are exceptional. The man can run, hit, generate runs, steal bases, distract you with humour, pitch, catch... he truly is the full package when it comes to baseball, fun, and leadership.
Our tapestry is so rich. Players like Richard Rendek exemplify what it is to play baseball, have fun, and build lifelong relationships. He is incredibly loyal, passionate, and dedicated to the excellence of the league.
