2020 Season Update

Nick Moore, Wednesday April 8, 2020

Hello Gentlemen,

Hope all is well and everyone is staying safe and healthy.

We know everyone has a lot of questions surrounding the 2020 season, so we wanted to give everyone the following update...

With the new provincial restrictions surrounding COVID-19, the Town of Richmond Hill has cancelled all permits up to and including May 31st. This obviously means that our Opening Day will be pushed back from its original date in mid-May. The executive has begun planning for an Opening Day of June 4th, assuming things improve and the town gives us the green light. Once we have confirmation of this date, we will update everyone accordingly.

We know this likely affects any potential of a Spring Training Day and possible reduction of regular season games. With that being said, we have started on contingency plans to make up the lost May games over the course of the summer. We are confident with a June 4th start date that the # of regular season games will be minimally affected.

We know this situation is very fluid and can change any day, so we promise to keep you all in the loop and updated on any changes that may occur as time goes on.

Please reach out to me if you have any questions, and STAY SAFE!

Thanks,

Jimmy Anderson Jr.
