Another day closer to the 2025 Live Draft, and with that comes another Player Highlight!
Today we look at the 2023 "Marv Weiman" Pitcher of the Year, Brock Wilimek!
After being taken 1st overall in the 2024 Draft, Brock would deliver his typical ace performance for the Expos, racking up a league leading 63.1 innings and an eye-popping 69 strikeouts to outpace any other pitcher in his way! With a blistering fastball and calm demeanour on the mound, opposing batters are left flumoxed when they're walking back to the dugout before even stepping up to the plate!
And let's not forget he's no slouch with the shillelagh either! A .406 average to go along with a .971 OPS made Brock a threat for opposing pitchers as he found himself crushing everything thrown his way in the middle of the Expos lineup!
Beyond this all, Brock exemplifies what RHMRBL is all about. A true competitor on the field, and one of the best men to ever step foot on the Green in general, he's become a beloved figure in our long storied league!
A true two-way phenom, Brock will take over any game he's in regardless of what side of the ball he's on. And as we look forward to 2025, any team will be lucky to take him as he looks to keep up his ace-level performance.
