Imagine if as a late twenty something year old you took the opportunity to create a baseball league! You know, the same idea we've all laughed about while drinking or partying, but secretly wished it could be done. Actually imagine it. Imagine that a friend, who just won the lottery, said he'd back your crazy idea! And finally, imagine the amount of beer and rocket fuel that went down that night when Terry Robertson decided to sponsor Mark Tulloch, Scott Ross, Bob Barton, and this weeks's Legend's feature-John Leonard.
John Leonard was never the fastest baserunner. He didn't have the strongest arm, or carry a high batting average. "JL" loved the game. John played into the league's tenth year, serving on the Executive as a long standing Secretary/Treasurer. Inducted into the RHMRBL Hall Of Fame in 2014, it is truly not possible to thank John enough. It now becomes all our responsibilities to preserve the cultures and traditions that have made this league the greatest league to play in in the GTA.
