League Legend - Finlay "Scott" Ross

, Monday July 9, 2018

Finlay “Scott” Ross is one of our league’s founding fathers. Known as Finn or Finner, he played in the first 15 years of the league and was our registrar for the first 4 seasons.  Finn was one of the league’s star pitchers in the late 80’s and 90’s and still holds the record for plunking 6 batters in one game...look out!!!  Scott moved to Mississauga which made the commute too difficult.  His legacy???  Finn started the P6 rule...players owing their team 6 COLD beers after a strike out looking or for making a gaff on defence.  Finn’s theory...”There are two kinds of beer...beer & no beer!”  And dude...it better be on ice and in a cooler!!!

Finn is an avid Argoholic who attends the Grey Cup every year...where ever it is.  He has had Argos season tickets for over 30 years.

Scott was 3rd to enter the Hall of Fame in 1989.  A true legend and key building block in the RHMRBL.
