Odds are you’ve never laughed harder than standing in a parking lot circle with Mike “The Kid” Vent. His personality is larger than life. His pop culture references are off the charts. He is, and will always be, a legend in the RHMRBL.
Invested in his son’s baseball, The Kid doesn’t get to as many games as he once did, but there’s no questioning his love for both the game and league. Vent is a bridge player - bridging the generational gap between the older vets and younger generations. He is a league icon. Tattoos and all. His rusty voice heard chirping from the bench or cracking countless jokes in the lot. Most of all though he is an accomplished player. A Hall of Fame inductee (2011), Svenner, Manager, Captain, Pitcher of the Year, MVP, and champion.
Statistically, Mike ranks amongst the absolute elite in our league. His continued success and perseverance truly illustrates the type of winner he is. He continues to mesmerize both batters and teammates alike with his superior mixing of speeds and off-balance breaks. One of the most composed veterans, he is never rattled, always giving his absolute best game in and game out.
Today we recognize one of the most superior talents our league has ever held; The Icon, The Legend, The Kid.
