RHMRBL 2021 Championship Series

, Tuesday September 21, 2021

4 incredible teams, 2 epic series, one best of 7 to go! Welcome to The RHMRBL Championship Series 2021.

In our first series the first place Blue Jays squared off against the fourth place Mariners. This was a series that featured incredible pitching and defense. The Mariners shot out to a quick 2-0 series lead before The Jays stormed back to take game 3. The tandem of Tony and Mitch proved to be too much to handle while the defense on both sides made every game close. Ultimately, The Mariners’ depth and playoff experience was enough to stop the legendary AJ Leitch and his squad from a three-peat.

Our second  matchup had the second place Yankees up against the third place Nationals. Unlike the other bracket the first four games were dominated by high flying offenses. This before the game 5 pitching duel between  perennial Pitcher of the Year nominee, Waylen Nelson, and the Yankees pitching tandem of Martin O’Brien and Michael Rivait.  With the series tied at one Super Rookie, Connor Stevenson, smashed three home runs in game 3 to give his Nationals a 2-1 series lead. The Yankees came roaring back in game 4 before squeaking out a come from behind win in game 5 to take the series.

Congrats to both The Yankees and The Mariners on making it to the finals and continuing the chase of the coveted Reaper Cup!

The RHMRBL Finals start this Thursday with Game 1, and continue Friday and Sunday with games 2 and 3 respectively.

We hope to see many of you out supporting your fellow league mates in their push to become the 2021 RHMRBL Champions!
