A steady glove, a clutch bat, and hair gifted from the gods themselves. There are many ways to describe Brad Marks, but as he hangs up the cleats one last time, he’ll be remembered as RHMRBL legend in his own right.
Woody would first step foot on the Green in 2010, putting together a rookie season that would soon launch him into quite the successful career. Managing to be a part of 3 Reaper Cup Championships, his teams leaned on him for his steady and slick defence on the hot corner, while also seeing him come through in the clutch time and time again. If your team needed a hit to break the backs of opponents, Marks was your guy.
Marks would take on many a role during his 13 year career in RHMRBL, taking on the Captain role in 2016, while also serving 2 seasons in an executive role as VP of Sponsorship.
He’d save his best for last, managing to secure his third Reaper Cup in 2021 for the Mariners, before putting up a formidable season at the plate hitting .364 for the 2022 Orioles on his way to earning a Mid-Season MVP Honour from his captain.
Always active in the lot after games, Marks was an unforgettable character. Always quick with a joke and offering a friendly presence to all that have had the honour to play alongside him (as well as hair that has made many a player jealous through the years), he will be dearly missed.
