With Jurassic Parks popping up all over Ontario and Canada alike, we thought we'd join in on the action with a fantastic team league effort to set up our own viewing party for the first ever NBA Finals game on Canadian soil.
Suprisingly, or perhaps not, both games ended quickly, and while some rushed home to watch the game on their PVRs, the real ones stuck around to take in a once in a lifetime experience. Pierre "MacGyver" Abrahams thoughtfully rigged up a TV setup with his truck and a stream courtesy Alim. It worked like a dream as dozens huddled around to watch the Raps win game 1, while enjoying a smorgasboard of home baked goodies from Biggie, cupcakes from Van Bommel, party pizzas from Bascom and plenty of potato chips. We were the talk of the lot, as everyone leaving slowed down to admire our setup and check in on the score, and it's exactly that ingenuity and postive energy that makes the RHMRBL such a special community - one that will reconvene tonight with a full slate of games!
Whether you won or lost, there's no arguing that everyone left The Green riding high on at least one victory.
