The Future - Michael McFadden

, Wednesday September 5, 2018

Our final highlight in our ‘The Future’ series focuses on a player that came into the RHMRBL guns-a-blazzin’. He immediately struck fear into all his opposition with a terrorizing fastball, and a repertoire of pitches seen only on TV! Michael McFadden made an immediate impact day 1, and has been dominant ever since.

McFadden grew up around baseball. Excelling as a youth, he was scouted and played college ball down south. Elbow injuries sidelined the star, eventually forcing him to have Tommy John surgery. Determined to play, Michael rehabbed his left arm. Unfortunately it wasn’t in the cards as continuous injuries plagued his ability to perform at peak levels.

In 2012 the youngster joined Richmond Hill and landed on a star studded team. Not to be outdone, in 34 inning that summer he faced 138 batters striking out 72 of them en route to a 5-0 record. He went on that summer to win Pitcher of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and The Reaper Cup.

Once again injuries came into play. Michael spent time over the next few years rehabbing in the minor league south system before finally returning to full time play last summer.

With his heart and skills now settled in the RHMRBL, there’s a lot of winning and fun times to be had with this young star! Cheers to your health and many more fantastic summers Mr. McFadden!
